The first column is the LAST day that the
CBS Tracking Poll is in the field, starting with September 11.

The second column is the number of observations. (For days
between polls, a small positive number is used, in
order to estimate where public opinion stands. In
effect, these days have polls with no respondents.)
The third column is the % of MAJOR PARTY VOTERS favoring Al Gore.
(In days with no polls, this % is set arbitrarily to 50%, but
it has no bearing on the final results.)
When analyzing these data using Samplemiser, specify the
variance of the disturbance (window #5) to be .39. This is
the value obtained when one analyzes the more abundant Gallup
polls.
